Madrid Music Greenhouse

From Sketch to Vision...

The Madrid Music Greenhouse An ambitious dream that still inspires us.

Back in 2020, our team at Greenhouse Living was invited to explore the potential of a new kind of cultural landmark in the heart of Madrid: a giant public greenhouse designed not only for concerts and music events, but as a living ecosystem – powered by solar energy, cooled by greenery, and sustained by urban food production.

The Madrid Music Greenhouse was envisioned as a 4,000 sqm climate-smart venue where vertical gardens, green plant walls, and cultivation balconies met large-scale events and nightlife. A space where sustainability wasn’t a compromise, but a core design principle.

Some highlights of the pre-study:

-2100 sqm event space for up to 4000 people

-Integrated vertical farming and eco-cycle water systems

-1000 sqm semi-transparent solar panels

-A shaded, terraced garden welcoming guests under a green canopy

-Modular design for concerts, conferences & food festivals.

Although the project wasn’t realized, it remains a powerful example of what’s possible when architecture, sustainability, and culture meet.
